My bathroom was first class, enjoyed it. The breakfast was satisfactory and offered plenty of fabulous food. You could leave a car on street. The location was incredible for walking around Moffat Museum. The property was in the centre of the city.

Room is really very small. Operation of the heater puzzling. Sink in the room and not in the bathroom takes some getting used to. Service staff very good.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable surroundings. The dining room was cosy and warm and the food was lovely! Some very nice, home-made dishes.
Although we had a small problem with the shower it was looked into at once and the problem almost solved. I'm sure it will be totally solved in the very near future.

The main reason we went to the Famous Star hotel was because we could take our dog with us. I have to say that, when we got there, the welcome we got was excellent. We go down to Dumfries, to bowl, once a year and we, certainly, will be going back.
The only problem I had, but didn't dislike, was the stairs as I am disabled although it will not stop me going back
